What we store
- Your account: email address, username, display name, password (hashed, never readable), avatar, cover photo, bio and links, and the accounts you linked to sign in with.
- What you post: topics, replies, their edit history, votes, uploads, blog posts and live chat messages.
- Direct messages: stored so both people in a conversation can read them. Staff do not read them through the forum.
- Security records: your active sessions (device, browser, approximate location and IP address) until they end, and sign-in attempts for 90 days, to protect your account.
- Memberships: if you buy one, payments are handled by Stripe. We keep the plan, amounts and Stripe references, never card details.
- Moderation: warnings and staff notes, and a log of staff actions.
Who can see it
Your posts are visible wherever their forum is. Your profile, activity, online status, who can message or mention you, and whether search engines may list your profile are your choice in Settings > Privacy. Moderators and administrators can see what they need to run SecHUB.
Your data, your call
- Download it: Settings > Privacy > Your data prepares a ZIP of everything above. It is kept for 7 days, then deleted.
- Delete your account: from the same place. It happens after 14 days; signing in before then cancels it. Your posts stay, credited to “Deleted member”. Your profile, email, sessions, uploads and everything else that identifies you are removed, and any subscription is cancelled. Payment records are kept as the law requires for accounting.
